4. National Frog Month ❱❱ Many people are unaware that frogs represent transition — moving from one stage of life to the next. They serve as excellent reminders of adaptability and the ability to move on from any situation, place, or thing. Aside from what they represent, the importance of frogs in our ecosystem is highlighted this month. Fish, mammals, and birds consume them as food, while carnivorous frogs feed on mosquitoes and flies, contributing to the food chain cycle.

Taking its roots in small nightclubs in Japan, karaoke has grown extremely popular in many other countries. So much so that the global karaoke market is currently worth billions of dollars, and annual events like Karaoke World Championships and National Karaoke Week are a thing.

6. Find a Rainbow Day ❱❱ April 3 ❱❱ The month of April brings spring showers. After those showers, the sun comes out and a rainbow often appears. And, if you are really lucky, you may see an uncommon double one. A rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon. A rainbow is bent, refracted white light, forming all the colors of the light spectrum. Water particles in the air act as a prism to bend light, forming a rainbow.

8. National Orchid Day ❱❱ April 16 ❱❱ Orchids are one of the most popular flowers of all. These beautiful flowers are native to almost all parts of the world except Antarctica. Scientists speculate that because this flower is native to most parts of the world, the flowers have been around since before the continents separated from each other. If true, they’ve been around for millions of years. Humans have cultivated them for thousands of years, even before Confucius was born (552 B.C.).

Astronomy clubs and groups use this day and night to help teach people about the stars, and other celestial bodies in the universe. These groups take advantage of this day to offer people a view of the stars through a telescope, if possible.
